Ugly BrothersThe New Red MoonsLadders, & King Courteen
Mad Planet
9 pm, 21+, $7

Four beloved Milwaukee indie folk-rock acts come together for a night of melodic tunes.

The brainchild of Alex and Palmer Shah, Ugly Brothers' moniker works in the same way you might name a Great Dane "Tiny;" their grandiose folk instrumentation is far from ugly. Tracks from their debut self-titled EP have received steady airplay on Radio Milwaukee.

The New Red Moons are and indie folk-rock trio that returned early this summer with sophomore LP ‘Mesmérisme.’ It received significant amount of favorable local press, with Matt Wild of Milwaukee Record saying, “Wide-eyed optimism and an unlikely stable of influences serve this band well.”

Ladders is a relatively new folk quartet made up of Milwaukee music veterans. Debut album 'Suha' (named after member Myles Coyne's three-legged, tailless cat) has received considerable positive local press.

King Courteen rounds out the bill. He's a rising star on the Milwaukee scene, gaining traction with his intimate, moving
melodies.
