Dusty Medical 10th Anniversary Fest
The Goodnight Loving, Tuff Bananas, Tang Soleil, Space Raft, & DJ Greg Cartwright

9 pm, 21+, $15
WEEKEND PASS = $42

Since 2005, Milwaukee's DUSTY MEDICAL RECORDS has issued almost 50 releases by over 35 bands. This August, 17 of these acts (some who have not played in close to 10 years) will converge at 5 venues over the course of 4 days, to celebrate 10 years of Dusty Medical Records.

Mad Planet gets a great show of four Dusty Medical bands and DJ duties from a rock legend:

The Goodnight Living are a Milwaukee basement-punk band whose -- according to A.V. Club's "A-" review of their latest album Supper Club -- "polish and sense of hard-won maturity haven't come at the expense of the shaggy, basement-show bravado that has mad The Goodnight Loving so fun and moving since its winning 2006 debut, Cemetery Trails."

Tuff Bananas is a Milwaukee punk band that has spawned bands like Sugar Stems and Sticks N Stones.

Tang Soleil are a Montreal band who release their first album with Dirty Medical in the coming months.

Space Raft have been taking Milwaukee by storm since last year's self-titled debut. Milwaukee Record's staff ranked the album as their 2014 Milwaukee record of the year, saying, "Big guitars, bigger hooks, and ’70s/’90s power-pop along the lines of Big Star and Matthew Sweet are the order of Space Raft’s day."

Greg Cartwright is a legendary garage rock musician and producer from Memphis. He was a member of highly influential garage bands The Compulsive Gamblers, The Oblivians, and Greg Oblivian & The Tip Tops. Since the turn of the millennium he's fronted the acclaimed Reigning Sound. 2009's Milwaukee-recorded Live at Circle-A on Dusty Medical is his sole solo release. The next year he recorded an album as part of The Parting Gifts, a band that featured members of The Raconteurs and The Ettes and featured The Black Keys' Dan Auerbach. He's also produced albums by The Detroit Cobras (a band for spent some time as a member), The Horrors, The Goodnight Loving, and more.
