Mad Planet 25th Anniversary Party with Radio Radio (70s/80s New Wave Tribute), Salford Lads Club (The Smiths Tribute), and Pretend (Testa Rosa’s Tribute to The Pretenders) & DJ Alter (Mad Planet's Resident DJ spinning 80s & 90s dance)
8 pm, 21+, $8

For 25 years, music fans have been able to go to Mad Planet to dance, see seasoned and up-and-coming national acts, and witness the best in local music. To celebrate, we’re turning back the clock to opening weekend, when songs by The Smiths and Morrissey, The Pretenders, and new wave acts were being blasted over the airwaves and pumped through CD store speakers. Appropriately, we’ll have three Milwaukee tribute acts to these acts.

Radio Radio

Radio Radio, Milwaukee’s premier new wave tribute band, plays your favorite songs by New Order, The Cure, The Cars, INXS, Echo and The Bunnymen, and more! Milwaukee press has called Radio Radio  "your best chance at seeing these songs performed by a truely stalwart band", and "No gimmick, just a great new wave band of pop-rock heavyweights. Totally".

Salford Lads Club

No stranger to Mad Planet, Salford Lads Club is a musical and visual celebration to the music of Morrissey and The Smiths. Singer Marc Solheim skillfullly channels Moz’s brooding and crooning..

Pretend

Finally, Milwaukee band Testa Rosa has captivated Milwaukee audiences for years with its own original dreamy pop-rock. On this night, they play as Pretend, a tribute to Chrissie Hynde-led English-American rock legends The Pretenders

Let’s celebrate a quarter-century of rocking, dancing, and partying!
